How do I contribute to WVTF Public Radio?
WVTF accepts listener donations through the mail and the online PLEDGE FORM.
We accept donations by check, money order, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept gifts of stock and real estate. Get more information on Individual Giving, Planned Giving, The Producers Circle or Corporate Underwriting.
How will my contribution be used?
You may designate your donation for WVTF's Operating Fund, New Building Fund, or Endowment Fund.
The Operating Fund is used to pay for everyday expenses, including programming costs, maintenance fees on its transmitters and buildings, and general operation costs.
The Building Fund was established in February 2000. In May 2003, WVTF moved into Broadcast Center, a 12,000-square-foot facility, after dramatically outgrowing its 4,000-square-foot studios in the Grand Pavilion. A major component of the station is Studio A, which is used to host live and recorded programs featuring musicians and other performers, as well as public affairs programs. The building, with state-of-the-art equipment, allows WVTF the opportunity to offer more and better programs to listeners.
In July 2003, WVTF launched its Donor Brick Campaign and is selling engraved bricks to be placed along the walkway of our new studios. To order your brick, download the Brick Order Form (Word document).
The Endowment Fund is a separate fund that is invested by WVTF's licensee, the Virginia Tech Foundation, with the investment goal of equity growth. As this fund grows in size, it will eventually be large enough to produce a steady stream of income large enough to contribute substantially to WVTF's operating budget. At present, WVTF is not using any of the Endowment money and all income from dividends and interest in being reinvested by the investment manager(s).
What is WVTF's mailing address for contributions?
