On this episode of Evening Edition, WVTF's Rhonda Miller interviews two ministers: Lee Ann Taylor and Joe Cobb, authors of the forthcoming book titled Our Family Outing: A Memior of Coming Out & Coming Through.

It was after Joe Cobb and Lee Ann Taylor were married that Joe revealed his homosexuality. Now, the couple have written a book that details the trials and tribulations they have encountered as Joe dealt with the realization of his sexual orientation.

The book talks candidly about how Cobb and Taylor have come to terms with the changes that homosexuality has brought to both their lives. Mrs. Taylor is the Minister of Music at Blacksburg United Methodist Church, and Joe Cobb is the pastor of the Metropolitan Community Church in Roanoke, where gays, bisexuals and transgendered individuals are welcomed.
